Tin is completely unacceptable for moonshine stills because it is dissolved by citric acid, the solution of which is used to purge copper stills. At the same time riveted seams are extremely undesirable because of the leaks that occur because of them.

If the helmet is placed wide side down you receive the product with the most pronounced taste and flavour, though when placed wide side up the distillate has less pronounced organoleptic properties, but higher purity.
